| The Pravda family began their journey into the men’s clothing industry back in 1908. Their first store opened on 14th Street and Seventh Avenue in New York City and only sold second hand merchandise. The owner Philip Pravda would purchase the wardrobes of the dearly departed financiers and celebrities of the day in order to offer his clients the very best clothing. In 1960, Alfred Pravda went to Europe to begin a new phase of newly manufactured clothing. Fast forward to the present day and the fourth generation is acquiring the best clothing collections from throughout Italy. Men's wear from famous Italian places such as, Venice, Padua, Milan, Rome, Naples, Bari, Montegranaro, Florence, Silvi Marina, Biella, Como and many others supply Pravda Abbigliamento with hand made suits, jackets, shirts, shoes and neckwear. Each piece of fabric is hand picked at the source by Philip Pravda the great grandson. Whether it be super 140’s -200's wool, hand woven cashmere, bench made shoes or antique rubbed crocodile belts, Philip Pravda has personally chosen every single piece for the Madison Avenue at 51st Street store. There is a great selection of crocodile belts in all colors along with matching wallets. There is also the ability to make special order pieces in python or crocodile bags.
